I've never been charged for a diagnostic service, while other places might charge 30 minutes labor just to look at it. I don't think there's a better service policy anywhere. They don't generally care where you bought it as long it's an authorized seller. I've brought in Apple products purchased at Apple Stores, Best Buy, Amazon, cellular phone stores, or Target, and have never had a problem getting service. I know you already got an answer, but never a problem for me. ![]() I recently bought a MacBook Pro from BestBuy and started to notice the keyboard went dark at times and the screen glitches while powering off prompting it to an abrupt shut off.Ĭan I bring in my MacBook to an Apple Store for service instead of going to BestBuy or am I stuck with the Geek Squad whom I have not heard very good things about?
